Wren/Dreoilín

Each textile art piece is in a quality Irish white wooden and glass box frame 31cm by 31cm with a picture opening of 14cm by 14cm. The frame has an adjustable metal hook on the back to allow for hanging.

Anita has given each bird its Irish name. She’s chosen four birds that she love and that are commonly seen in the Irish countryside and on her bird table here in Ballivor.

Dreoilin or Wren is known as the king of all birds although he is one of the smallest. Anita loves their intricately crafted nests and their beautiful dainty shape.

Each piece is made on cotton that is printed with Anita’s design and then stitched by machine and by hand. A layer of wadding is added to create a relief effect after stitching.
