This book is dedicated to Dominick Moloney 1959-2025, an amazing brother and best pal, father, husband and granddad.
Author, award-winning photographer, singer and musician, teacher and instructor, a man of many talents. He worked for over forty years as a railway man and trade unionist in Limerick.
He had a great passion for the outdoors, hiking and boating on the River Shannon, and was highly skilled in the traditional Limerick boat called the Angling Cot. He was bowman in the Moloney family boating crew. He had the curiosity of an explorer, the determination to figure out how everything worked, from motor bike engines to Desktop Publishing. He basically put this book together. His enthusiasm, dedication and boundless energy throughout his life left the rest of us in awe.
So here’s to Dominick, he made the world a better place by being in it.
