Maura Muckian
Artist Profile

Maura Muckian, a native of Medieval Carlingford, is an established artist working mainly in oils, but also pastel, acrylic and watercolours. She prefers the flexibility of oil which enables her to produce an infinite range of textures and effects, rich impasto and brush strokes which become an integral part of finished painting.

Her range of subjects include, landscape, seascape and harbour scenes. Inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Carlingford Lough, Cooley Peninsula and The Mourne Mountains, her work is much in demand for corporate presentations and gifts. She also paints countrywide and is especially drawn to the west of Ireland and Donegal. Influenced by the Impressionists, she likes to travel to paint in the South of France and Italy.

Maura works daily in her studio overlooking Carlingford Lough fulfilling commissions and completing work for her exhibitions.
