Jin Yong, born in 1981, is an award-winning artist based in Ireland since 2002. His interest in art began at the age of five when he started taking lessons from a private teacher. He studied Art and Design in Changchun City for four years before moving to Shanghai, where he gained work experience as a graphic designer and design editor for ‘Good Morning Shanghai’, a major Korean magazine publishing company.

Since relocating to Ireland, he has held 17 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. His artwork has been collected by over 900 individuals and organizations worldwide.

Jin Yong, a Christian, believes that God is the best designer and artist, having created this world full of beauty and colors. He finds inspiration in nature and modern culture, focusing on painting endangered species to raise awareness of the human impact on nature. Additionally, he includes positive messages and symbols in his work to express his appreciation of family, friends, and happiness.

In 2018, he won the Chinese Professional Achievement Award by the Association of Chinese Professionals in Ireland, represented by H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, the Chinese Ambassador to Ireland.

On November 15, 2019, his work “Gorilla Purple Rain” was featured on The Late Late Show alongside Andy Warhol and Banksy’s work.
