The lost city of Kilstiffin
Its believed that the Skilstiffin reef in Liscannor bay is the place where this legendary city once lay. One day its chieftain lost the golden key to the city gate and the church and city sank into the sea. It will remain under the water until this key is found again. Some locals say that the city can be seen every seven years on a full moon. At the top end of the prom at Lahinch the prominent house facing the sea is named Cilstiffin.
