Irish Puffins, specifically the Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula arctica), are primarily found along the west coast of Ireland. They are known for their distinctive appearance, characterized by a black and white plumage and a colorful beak that becomes more vibrant during the breeding season. In poetry, puffins might be used as symbols of joy and playfulness due to their colorful appearance and comical behavior.

Little puffin Poem: ” There once was a puffin”

Oh, there only was a puffin, just the shape of a muffin.

And he lived on an island in the bright blue sea.

He ate little fishes that were most delicious,

and he had them for supper,

and he had them for tea.

But the poor little Puffin, he couldn’t play nothing,

for he hadn’t anyone to play with at all.

So he sat on his island and cried for a while,

and he felt very lonely and he felt very small.

Then along came the fishes,

and they said, if he wishes,

you can have us for playmates instead of tea.

So they now play together in all sorts of weather

and the puffin, eat pancakes like you and like me.
