Seastack at Cliffs of Moher,
The Majestic Cliffs Visually spectacular, the Cliffs of Moher sit astride the striking landscape of The Burren on one side and the Wild Atlantic Ocean on the other.
Rising out of the Atlantic waters to a height of over 700ft and running along the coast of Clare for almost 8 miles.
The Cliffs of Moher have formed over 320 million years ago, and today form part of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark.
The pathway at the Cliffs of Moher is part of the Wild Atlantic Way route along the west coast of Ireland.
An Branán Mór Sea Stack
Living 200 meters below the tower and 50-odd meters out to sea is the spectacular 60-meter high sea stack called An Branán Mor. (Branaunmore) The name is ancient and has a literal translation as the Big Prince or the Big Raven or Rook, probably named due to its shape when viewed from the sea as it looks like a giant chess piece.
