Vincent Killowry is a full time artist. He lives and works at his studio on the outskirts of Ennis Co. Clare. He has been painting for over thirty five years and is established as a leading painter of transport subjects along with Seascape, figurative and portrait. He studied Fine Art Painting & Print Making in Galway graduating in 1986. His background is in engineering, flying and painting.

Since graduating he has exhibited in several group and solo exhibitions including The Guinness Hops Store Graduates Exhibition, the GPA Awards for Emerging Artists, the ‘Flying Colours’ solo shows in Limerick & Ennis. The opening of the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, The 50th Anniversary of the Limerick Flying Club Exhibition in the airfield hangar and a solo exhibition as part of the Irish Air Corps 75th Anniversary celebrations in Shannon. A retrospective exhibition was held in Foynes to launch his first set of postage stamps in 1998. Vincent’s Titanic postage stamp design artwork was included as part of an exhibition of postage stamp designs at Cork City Hall to mark the City’s year as European Capital of Culture 2005.

Increased demand for his work saw Vincent move to painting as a full time career at the end of 2003 and he has had a constant waiting list for commissions ever since. His work now hangs in private and corporate collections in Ireland, U.K., U.S.A., Japan, Luxembourg, France, Spain & India.

Vincent has had a lifelong passion for the subjects he paints and his paintings are prized by his collectors for their mood and atmosphere combined with a technical accuracy that has come from the sensitive attention to detail in his work.
