Michael Monghan was born in 1956 and began Painting from an early age. Over the past twenty five years he has developed his present style in the medium of oils and acrylics, and has been described as a Natural Artist.

His paintings are noted for their great depth of colour and warmth capturing shifting moods a of light and shade.

The dominant themes in his painting are flowers, lanscapes and figures. Michael loves exploring these variuos subjects in order to keep the passion alive, as he believes painting to be a joy, a life long journey and a passionate pursuit.

His work is represented by many corporate, public and private collections in Ireland including Eircom, Great Southern Hotels, The Russian Embass., department of Arts, Sports and Tourism and Office of Public Works. His work is also in many private collections throughout Europe and the U.S.A.
